How do I buckle this?

Ha! I'm amazed pictures like that haven't turned up in the Kilt Do's and Don't's thread!

Why bother with the buckles? I'd suggest using a heavy duty, air operated, staple gun with inch and a half staples. That should hold everything in place without it slipping down. Would work great for that kilt that isn't quite tight enough when worn with a PC and waistcoat.
