No, but it's going to be a very close race, isn't it?
Welcome to the adventure of anticipation!

Funny thing is, they gave me the expected dispatch date, and I can still see myself checking the mail every day with anticipation.

    Alas....so it goes...

That looks like a really old tartan! I can't wait (probably not as much as you!) to see what it'll look like all pleated!

VERY COOL! I'm glad to see another tartan based on the shepherd check (see my thread about my Burns Check) I'm looking forward to seeing it.

Is this a personal variant of the Shepherd's Check, also known as the "Falkirk" or "Northumberland" tartan?

    Regards,

    Todd

    Todd,
I first saw it along side the Kerr Modern and Kerr Hunting at Ferniehirst (Kerr Castle outside Jedburgh) and thought it was pretty stellar looking. I can't speak for the history, or the pedigree of the tartan, but it very well may be as you suggest, a personalized variant of the Shepherd's Check.

    cheers,
    Alex

    Alex,

This bears investigating! Many thanks for the tip as to where you saw it.
