Well, although I've never tried snowshoeing in a kilt, I have mushed in a kilt.
And that was very different, in a lotta ways! Definitely not for a beginner; and I'd recommend leaving the sporran at home - with all the running required behind the sled, it can get a little, you know, percussive!

Never snowshoed kilted, but have mushed wearing one!
Very different, not what I'd recommend for a novice; and definitely leave your sporran home - with all that running behind the sled, it can get more than a little percussive!
