Another Ball, Another Xmarks meet up!
This Saturday was the annual St. Andrew's night ball for my dance group. The Thistle and Ghillies.
Usually our ball is just a local thing, but this year we decided to try to make it a bigger event and invited dance groups all over the western U.S.
However, since the invitations were sent out so late only two out of towners managed to come.
And they were Sandy(CaptMac) and Victoria (vmac3205) from right here on Xmarks!
They came to stay with Diane and I on the Friday night and we had a wonderful time.
As usual when meeting people from Xmarks it was just like seeing old friends.
(I will admit, Diane had already met them a year ago when she went out to the Portland ball.)
They gifted me one of Victoria's excellently altered jackets and I just love it. It fits me perfectly and it goes with pretty much everything.
It's a dark green Harris Tweed and looked so good I went ahead and wore it to the ball!
Even with this I am already eying other jackets so I can put in an alteration order!
We went out to dinner on Friday with some other folk from our dance group and stayed far beyond the time we actually finished the meal just chatting and having fun.
On Saturday we done a bit of shopping and got some great deals!
And, finally, we enjoyed a wonderful ball on Saturday evening.
I didn't get many pictures because, to be honest, I was too busy having fun. But here's what I did get!
Sandy, myself and our cat, Earl, with Big Mike the old Union pacific train.
Sandy and Victoria at the ball. They both looked fantastic and danced just as good!
Diane and one of our friends Vikki doing a duet for the ceilidh portion.
A wonderful time was had by all and Diane and I are planning to head over to the Portland ball in March to see them again!
And, for those interested parties I'll be doing a post about my new and wonderful jacket later today!

I just love to read about other XMarkers meeting and having good time together.
It's been said before Arlen, but it really looks like life in the States is agreeing with you.
