On Halloween my friends and I all dress up and hit various parties and bars. Usually the celebration is an all weekend event, but since Halloween fell on a Friday, many people were not dressed up on Saturday, myself included. I wore what I normally wear, a kilt. We went to a party, so I spruced it up a bit with a tie and waistcoat.
Everyone who knew me asked why I wasn't wearing a costume. Everyone who didn't know me complimented me on such a great costume. Interesting reactions all the way around.
Whenever I do wear pants, I get comments from those close to me.
It seems I either wear the kilt and get questioned by strangers, or don't wear the kilt and get questioned by friends.
