Depends on the value of the dollar and pound at the time. Had you checked last May, the price would have equated to about $16.50 before shipping. The pound reached it most recent zenith just about the time my wife and I were visiting... Lucky us.
Are the books the same? Well, probably - but that's not always the case. The US editions of the now classic James Harriot books were essentially comprised of two separate UK titles due to american expectations for books with longer page counts.
The world of publishing is a strange and exotic place!
