    The waistcoat looks fantastic. I'd say it'll go well with any of them, but the weathered Mackenzie would be my choice.

    I bought that vest from the Wild West Mercantile and Wah Maker makes it, I was a Cowboy Action competitor back in Arizona.

    I'm pretty sure a straight bottomed vest is the correct vest to wear with a kilt. I saw a pic recently of Prince Charles in a kilt with tweed coat and vest, and the vest was straight bottomed.

    I too am a frequent customer of Wild West Mercantile. I've been wearing old fashioned western wear to the office for many years (including the cowboy cuffs) and have a bunch of 4 pocket cowboy vests. I've worn my green one with my Donegal tartan, it goes really well.

    J. Charles Thompson's book says if your wearing a vest with a pointed bottom, you should tuck the points into the belt.
