My son fills me in on an even bigger birthday bummer the other day: my sons had heard me express interest in an SWK Night Stalker nylon sporran. I'd wear that bad boy even when not kilted. Folks can call it a fanny pack all they want -- all I know is, I could stash the Encyclopedia Britannica in one of those. I really want one so I can get all of this stuff out of my pockets.

So, my kids told my wife a week before Thanksgiving. My birthday was December 4. She said she didn't want to order that because it wouldn't get here in time. My sons, who both own SWKs (Irish National standard for the oldest and Black Shadow heavyweight for the youngest), said, "Mom, Stillwater Kilts ships stuff before people even order it. They've perfected wormhole technology, or maybe they ship with a transporter like on Star Trek. However they do it, it'll be here in plenty of time!"

She didn't order it. ***sigh***

I have a sneaking suspicion I'll be getting one for Christmas, though. It was at the top of my Christmas list that I gave her long before my son told me about this.

I must have a split personality because part of wants to say happy belated B-day and the other half is wondering what ever happened in the 5th grade? You missed a birthday, I missed an entire year!
