I'm quite disappointed. We moved out here to Mani"SNOW"ba, expecting to have nice deep snow for the winters. Here it is, Dec 7th, and we have a total of 4" on the ground. That's it!! When I lived here as a child I can recall deeper snow than that by Halloween!
There isn't even enough now to break out my brand-new snowblower. Darn it...I wanna go out and play!

Now I like winter quite a bit. But my wife is all for this. She hates the cold.

Yes sir!! And blowing! Like crazy! I love it! It's beautiful!! Mrs. NH is making me a nice cup of hot chocolate right now, we're getting ready to settle in with How The Grinch Stole Christmas to wind down a long Monday... ***sigh*** I are content.

And she just brought me graham crackers, too. I'm lucky.

mudd, Nighthawk, this is why I REALLY enjoy working at home. See all that snow in the driveway? Well, it's sitting there untouched until I feel like going out to clean it off!!

While I can indeed relate to wanting to break out and play with a new gadget I have to say that I'd rather be messing with a new automatic pool sweep in December than a snow blower.

Argh...ptui! We have too much snow in Virginia as far as I'm concerned. This coming from someone who'll likely be living in Canada in a few years. :brrrrrr:

Of course here we're so busy during a snow. First, you have to shovel the walk, then get the car out and go hit things with it until you abandon it on an expressway. Then slog over to the grocery and loot it for all the milk and toilet paper you'll need for the next two years.

And that's just for 3 or 4 inches.

Be careful not to tempt the fates or you might find out...

...and nothing is funnier to us "Northerners" than watching you "Southerners" try to drive in the snow...even when it only snows a half an inch we get to see the newsfootage of people sliding all over the place. If you own an auto body shop in Texas and you look out the window and see it snowing, you must thank the Lord and call the dealer and tell him that you'll take that bigger boat after all.

Not that I would wish misfortune on anybody....but don't get cocky about your weather...you never know.
