I probably will buy from them again, but I'm going to wait a while (more of a monetary reason than the company, really). Hopefully, they will be better when I decide to get another.

I had previously indicated a minor problem as regards the coloring of actual kilt as opposed to how it appeared on the website, with the the kilt being darker. When I took the kilt to the office and viewed it under fluorescent light, I found that the blue REALLY came out. Ah, the wonders of electricity! ![Laughing](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_lol.gif)
So I am hereby upgrading the product from a B to an A- (I'm still not crazy about the buckle). My friend for whom I had ordered one is very pleased with his, especially given the price....but then, he's Scottish.

Galician, what tartans did you guys get? AND...is this your friend's first kilt? Another convert, perhaps?!
I love seeing photos with so many different beautiful tartans represented!

Oh, sorry, Reverend Sister! I got their Clergy, due to the rave reports of several on this forum, including yourself. ![Wink](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_wink.gif)
My friend has been wearing a Sportkilt, which he loves. But this is the first semi-traditional kilt he has gotten, so in that sense, yes, a convert! He got the Pride of Scotland.
Pictures should follow soon.

I bought my first kilt from FC. Didn't have any problems - the items came in good time and I'm pleased with them.

A good friend of mine ordered the universal tartan from FC and had the same problems. He caught up with them at celtic fest in PA. the product is good ,but the service is a Horror story. It would be worth it for any company to make a fair quality, and priced universal masonic kilt.JUST KEEP THEM IN STOCK!!!

That friend, you mention, told us they were going to be there and we brought a 13 oz with us just for them, they had ordered a 16 oz. We also GAVE them a few other things - rabbit sporran etc to make up for the delay. they were very very happy.
It may seem like a easy thing to JUST KEEP THEM IN STOCK but it is often easier said then done. unless you are stocking the material and making them as ordered it is hard to keep all sizes in all tartans in all weights in stock. how many size 36 do you keep 3,4,5, or 6.
just for giggles if you carry sizes 28-52 and want to stock 4 of each size you would have 52 kilts now multiply that by 40 tartans you get 2,080 kilts now figure 2 weights you get 4,160. that is just to have a good stock.
now as many folks know we switched to a shopping cart with an inventory control system so unless you use the back order/custom order link..you can not longer purchase an item that is out of stock..

You are right! To the folks here at XMARKS, the FC did right by my friend. The universal masonic tartan is very nice and I plan on ordering one as soon as the are in, however after ordering his things my friend did not hear anything for months. Infact long enough that I am still shoping around. I do not mean any disrespect to Frugal corner I was going to order other tartans in my size
, but they just were not in stock! I cant see spending money, knowing that I would be depending on weavers in a tough political enviorment, to send my kilt in a timely manner to the Frugal corner. All that being said, the day they are in stock I will be there! Once I recieve my things I will post a fair story about the experience.

I recently ordered a kids kilt from them when they had their sale. I had it within 4 days, and my daughter LOVES it.
I've had issues with them in the past, but I will say that this recent transaction went very well. Maybe in the not-so-distant future, I may try ordering a kilt for myself again.
