Hiking Sedona Kilted
So drove down to meet my lady in Sedona yesterday. This morning we went hiking the red rocks near Bell Rock and Court House Rock.
That's the hand sewn Antarctica tartan kilt by Kathy Lare, made-to-measure gray argyll from Lochcarron, leather nightstalker sporran from Stillwater Kilts, Lewis kilt hose and traditional garter ties from the Scottish Tartans Museum, Z Coil shoes, staff dealie crook thing, and waterbottle by Arrowhead.
Didn't think anyone would bat an eye when I was walking around Sedona proper kilted. Wrong...lots of questions. Being a tourist town was mostly, "Where are you from?" Great way to meet people.

Hiya Ron
Great seeing your pics of nearby Sedona. They raised two thoughts:
1. I'm forty-five minutes away in Flagstaff and there's a pile of snow here today! What a difference 2,000 feet of elevation makes.
2. I've hiked in my kilt several times in Oak Creek Canyon, and I am also surprised that I get more questions (people act like it is unusual) more than home in Flagstaff. Sedona must have fewer kilted gents is all I can figure.
Sharp outfit, BTW.
Peace

Tha more I see the Antarctica tartan the more I like it! Nice countryside as well; I visited Sedona once with my wife but didn't get to do any hiking.

Great looking kit you have there. The Antartica Tartan is one that I have always liked. Looks like a very nice day for a hike.

For sure Ken.
Hit snow a few hundred feet up the canyon on the way home and there was snow from there all the way back to Page. On the ground fortunately, none blowing. On the drive down yesterday had heavy sandstorms all the way across the Painted Desert, amazed there's paint left on the starboard side of my car.
