Well, in fact, yesterday I had to say "yes, I am."

But that was because I went to work without a jacket. What was I thinking?

    I always politely reply that:

"Actually wool is very warm and you don't radiate a lot of heat from your knees. If you think about it, kilts must be fairly comfortable in cold weather as the Highlands of Scotland aren't particularly balmy"

    Cheers

I'd much rather wear one this time of year than in the sweltering heat and humidity of a southern summer!

    1. Still cooler than blue jeans.
    2. That's why Marton Mills gave us PV tartan, and God gave us Rocky and Kelly to make USA Kilts from it.

Back to December: as PiobBear would say "I'm wearing enough wool to knit a sheep." Why would I be cold?

    Smart mouth mister!

Just the other day someone asked me that. The UK workmans is not the warmest garment around but I said, "Not really, I was just rubbing my kindling".

The irony is, that as soon as the temperature climbs to 20 degrees, people then say aren't you hot in that?
I usually just say ' Why thank you so much...Very good of you to take the time to say so!'

I've been known to say "Why yes I am, how about you?" to witch they always say yes then I usually reply "With me it's only my knees that are cold" If I get another comment after that it normally something like "Well that makes sense" or something like that, or "I wish it as only my knees that were cold".

The other day a woman said "You must be cold in in that" to which I replied "You must be mistaken." So it varies depending on the situation.

Yep, how true...I have been frequently asked "aren't you cold/aren't you hot".
