Both londonpiper and I turned up at our Scottish Country Dance Club Christmas Do last night in Isle of Skye kilts. ("Twins" he said - but I don't look anything like him

). But neither of us worn purple (except in the tartan, of course)- he in black, me in green.

I am finding it quite difficult to match the beautifully understated colours of the IoS in shirts, hose & flashes. I was wearing the same kilt today with a rust red shirt, black hose and black argyle jacket but was not convinced that this is right either. Maybe I'll just have to go for the purple option after all, Jamie
