New Kilt Thursday, first public outing Saturday.
This is a pretty big week for me. My first kilt arrived on Thursday. I wore it around the house a bit to get a feel for it. Then we hosted a family Christmas, and I thought, it's time to debut it. After every one left, we walked over to the closest pub. I was naturally a bit nervous, but I just feigned extreme confidence and it went over really well. Everyone wanted to get a good look at it. It was just the sort of debut I needed! Anyhow, here's a pic....

Very nice, who made it? What tartan is it? Inquiring minds want to know. By the way, nicely put together outfit, congratulations you wear it well.

Acting confident is a great way to learn how to be confident. You look great, and there was nothing to worry about anyway.
Good job,
Rex.

Thank you all for your kind words. I had the kilt made through Scotweb (though I wish I had known about the discount for xmarks members!). It is made in the Lynch tartan.

Well since you didn't provide a shot of the pleats, we gotta know-Box pleat; knife pleats and is it pleated to the sett or to stripe (if so, which color)?
The kilt looks great BTW.

If I keep forgetting these important details, they are going to have to append newbie to my name again. Knife pleats to sett. It looks quite nice that way as the red stripes are such a strong contrast to the blue.
