AND, you can't forget the small black arm bands sported by a group of U.S. students in the 1960s that forever changed American public school law and slowly did away with strict dress codes for students and faculty (I'm not saying this was a good thing, but it DID change history!). It also ushered in the students' rights movement in the united States. From small gestures come great things.

Respectfully, Sister, but I believe you're comparing apples and oranges here. The USA is no longer part of the British Empire, so INMHO, such an act of "defiance" against British rule seems pointless, especially when the rest of the uniform is based on the uniforms of the Highland regiments of the British Army.

Sorry, Todd, I should have been more specific...I was toasting the ORIGINAL rebels, not those who rebel against nothing!!
