Hello From New Zealand
Hi Guys.
Love the forum, I have been reading it for many months. Glad to say I have a full Prince Charlie with Fly Plaid that I am to be married in two weeks from now!!
This is in my family Tartan and I am more than proud to be doing this, I hope my efforts will be continued by my family for years to come.
I went to Scotland last year and visited some of my early family areas and regions, it was heart warming and almost surreal at the same time. That really secured my decions for me to re-introduce the Kilt and the heritage to my new family.
I purchased all items from Scotland including the Tartan but the Kilt was made here in New Zealand (taxes on importing made up wollen goods prohibited an imported Kilt) All is good and well and I am looking forward to my wedding.... just not the heat of a Mid Canterbury summer to swelter in :-)
Any way.... cheers for all the info on this site, its awesome
Regards
Marc McSkimming
