It measures 18" from cuff to heel. Of course, that stretches sideways when I put it on. The cables are two stitches and "weave" each other. It might be hard to see in the picture. The yarn is a two-ply sportweight which I buy from a lady who raises the sheep, has the yarn processed, and sells it from a shop in her basement.
That's a great kilt hose, piper. Do you share patterns?
I'm afraid if I got on ravelry as well as this site, I'd never get anything done, like finishing Jamie's jacket, which is what I'm supposed to be doing right now.
