I wanted to pass on a link to the Black Watch of Canada Kit Shop. I think it is a great little store on the net. I bought the kilt hose pictured below, and they are thick and awesome. A warning though, if you already have thick legs, they won't make them look smaller. They have some nice rugby jerseys and other items. I was able to use paypal and I think that after shipping the hose came to about $25 (CDN funds).

I think that you will like them. They are not like traditional hose in that there is not real design on the 'cuff' of the sock. They are just big and thick and warm. I like 'em. I like also that we have an opportunity to support a regiment with a very colourful and proud history here in Canada. I hope you enjoy your purchase.

I am not sure what size you were after, but I wanted a 10 - 10.5 and they were sold out but they recommended 9-9.5 which were more than big enough for my size 10 feet.
