I still need to do this. I have my laptop back and it's working great, but I don't have a webcam or anything like that. I'll have to look into it at some point. Sounds neat!

Yep, I got a Webcam for christmas so that I can keep in better touch with my dad who doesn't get to see his grandson (my son) very often. We've been using Skype frequently. I also Skype my girlfriend (your right grant that does sound bad) at night now instead of calling her on the phone. We will sit and talk, and play free games like Backgammon or whatever while we talk. I dig it, and highly recommend it for anyone else.
You should be able to find me by Skype: ayinmcfye
If that doesn't work let me know. I'll add it to my profile as well.

I Skype too. I have it setup on the home PC for my wife and I have a smaller notebook I take when I travel so we can see and speak with one another. Sometimes I have to stay up late to speak with her because we are 12 hours apart. It's a good thing I like to travel.
I guess I'll have to edit my profile to include both. Free Skype is a lot better than cell phone time.
Since there is only one that I can include, I placed the one on my home PC.

When you add Skype to your XMARKS profile, be sure to check the box in Skype that allows your Skype status to be shown on the web.

I Skype a little, but not too much: I often forget to turn it on when I'm online.
I'm happy to add other Skype contacts, though. Still might not have anything to say, but it'd help if I can ever order another FK!

I've had Skype for a good while now. Naturally my Mac had already had most of the stuff on it that is needed and I had been given a webcam for a birthday.
Skype stayes on 24/7 and with my Mac speakers I can hear if someone calls. Its marvellous, the price is right, and it enables me to stay in touch with friends and family around the world.
As Mr Burns would say: "Excellent!"

I don't think Skype software is free any more, but i may be wrong.
I've used it to talk to a friend in Morocco, since telephone charges are still high to "distant" places (ha ha!), whereas within most of western Europe and across the Atlantic, it's almost free compared with what it was years ago, so we use the phone.
What amazes me is that people use mobile phones with the incredibly high per-minute charges. That I refuse to do!
How-off topc can we get?

The Skype software is free. Skype to Skype calls are free, either video or just audio. Most of our Skype calls are Skype to Skype video. There is a charge for using Skype to call phone lines. The rate is economical, and depends upon the destination.
