it seems I am still trying to figure out how to do the embed photo thing. I know it works - in the mean time it can be found at http://www.flickr.com/photos/34234055@N07/3185617069/

In order to post a picture, you have to make sure you have a direct link to it. This can be found by viewing a picture on a website, and right clicking and then click on "Properties", which will bring up a box where there will be a "Location" field as well as other information about the picture. Take the web address there (should end in .jpg, .gif, or other picture format), and paste it into your post, and then put [IMG] directly in front of it and [/IMG] directly in back of it.
Like this: [IMG]web address of picture[/IMG]

Ah - I took the link from the address bar at Flckr. Likely there is more to the address than that. I will try the "properties" approach. Many thanks for the guidance.
