    Thank you for posting this.. I think we tend to forget about the great deeds of our forefathers.. Amazing men who had balls of steel... My great grandfather Hugh Alexander Kennedy died of wounds sustained at Flanders in the Great War..

    I just happened to catch the last couple of minutes of a repeat of an episode of Dad;s Army on BBC2 last night (I was tuning in to watch the second episode of Neil Oliver's history of Scotland.)

    Captain Mainwaring was holding a set of bagpipes and was being slagged off by Pvt Frazer. The Captain said he had spent his honeymoon at some village in Scotland and, as there was nothing else to do (lol) had learnt the pipes. The episode ended with him marching off playing them. Wish I had seen the rest of the episode now!

    Hopefully I can find it on the BBC iplayer!
