Montrose..........
Ahhhhhhh!
Glen, everytime you post a photo I think "oh I like that kilt, hose, jacket, etc."
Here I am without any free cash to buy any of it and that just makes me a wee sad lad. : (
BTW it looks great!
Thanks for the inspiration though.

Hello Glen,
As always, you look simply fantastic ! You state that this may or may not be the outfit. May I ask, what else you have in mind ? Not that you need to change anything. Also, where did you get your diced hose ? Again you look wonderful !!! You wear the kilt the way it is supposed to be worn. I love the traditional, classic, Highland way !!!

I could wear my Isle of Skye or my Graham of Mentieth or perhaps my Royal Naval Association tartan all 8 yard 16 oz kilts with the Montrose, or perhaps my Prince Charlie outfit. I have the diced hose you see here I also have a pair of Argyll hose to match the Isle of Skye. So really I could have a few outfits for Burns Night. The diced hose I have here come from the Hawick Hose Company, I purchased them on sale at my local tartan shop.

Hello Glen,
Thank you for the reply and please you can call me Sean. We are among friends after all. Well I just got back from checking your photo ablums and I must say they are all excellent choices. All your pictures are splendid. I do think this time around (not that I'm an expert by any means) you should utilize your Montrose. You look simply smashing in it. As for the kilt, I can see why you are having a wee bit of a time in choosing. I love the diced hose and the Argyll hose you speak of must be the hand knit ones you received not long ago (what a treat it must have been to get those). What colour trad. garter ties do you have ? I think they look best with those choices in hose. Of course your shoes are spot on. Does your local Tartan Shop cater to those outside of Canada ? If so I would love to check them out. Do they have a website or catalog ? Again, you always look the epitome of a well dressed gentleman. I'm certain whatever you choose will be the envy of all. It's always a pleasure to hear from you.
Yours Aye,
Sean

I think you can get the Hawick Diced hose from the Scottish Tartan Museum. as for the shop I got them at they had one pair left and had them for sale at I think $40.00. Sometimes I get lucky. Anyway here is the website though I'm sure they will not order these again

Hi Glen,
Thanks for the info. Wow, what a great deal ! I know you can get the Hawick hose from STA but it doesn't appear they have the colour combo I'm looking for (red / green). Matt are you out there ? Well maybe I should get a couple pairs . I just don't know how happy the old bank account would be (has my sporran screams at me tae stay shut). Thanks for the web address. Guid tae hear frae ye.
