Can it get worse? "There is nothing either good nor bad but thinking makes it so."

Still, it is one of the worst beginnings to a year I can think of. Both your parents passed at far too young an age. I'm so sorry for your losses.

Give yourself the time and space and permission to grieve; for each of them, and for the blessings they brought to you as a loving parental team. No one can grieve for you or feel the loss as deeply as you do. Let others help you as you grieve and as you help them. And let us know what we can do.

The gods bless and preserve you. On the days when I feel like I can not bear another thing, I go sit on the beach and let the wind and the sky comfort me. It is difficult to convey that sense of peace electronically, but it I could, I would give that feeling to you to help ease your grief. I hope the year gets better from here.
