The only sure way to know up front what the shipping charges will be is to ask the person who will actually be shipping your package. An email to them asking for the shipping charges would not be a bad thing.
Most are more than happy to let you know before they ship.
To estimate yourself for regular mail shipping costs from the UK to Canada you should visit the ParcelForce web site.
http://www.pfwwsg.parcelforce.com/po...ar=pricingcalc
You will need to know;
The packages total weight in kg.
The packages length, width, & height dimensions in cm.
The senders address including Postal Code.
The receivers address including Postal Code.
The description of the package contents.
Sorry I can't be more help. My average postal charge for a Kilt from Scotland is £16.50. That does not include GST and duty charges by Canada Post, Canada Border Services or the individual carrier such as FedEx, or UPS.
note: If you can, please tell your shipper to use ParcelForce to ship your package not FedEx or UPS. These courier services are authorized to act as their own import broker and receive payment as a percentage of the amount they recover. So naturally they always charge the maximum allowable by law.
