My offer to Alex is sincere. My gut is that even though I like the tartan and would enjoy having and wearing a kilt made from it (especially a Barb T kilt), that I think Alex may get more pleasure from it than I, so I would like to make sure he gets that opportunity. I already know that I will be sending some other custom Allen 1996 tartan to Barb T sooner or later for a very special Kingussie design kilt that will have special family meaning and joy for me, far in excess of what the Maple leaf would. And to have Barb T herself work her magic on my Allen 1996 one is the icing on the cake for me. Don't get me wrong, the Maple Leaf would be great, but getting it would delay my being able to send Barb the Allen 1996 for my special kilt---can't buy everything at once---so if Alex takes the maple leaf off my hands I will find joy in knowing he is happy, and I will also find it when I can send my Allen to Barb sooner than I could if I had her do the Maple Leaf first. And I will find it a third time when Alex posts his pics of his Maple leaf, and a fourth tiem when I get my Allen back from Barb to post pics for all of you. Joy, joy, joy.
