    To All,

Since walkerk did such a great job recording the presentations on video I don't see a need to post their text.

I would like to take an opportunity to thank the people that made this event happen.

All the presenters did an amazing job

Debra with her deliciously evil "Lassies pre-emptive Strike", Charlie (thomsec) with his hysterical "Apology to the Lassies", Ray (bunchdescendant) did a grand job with the "Immortal Memory", Richard rose to the occasion and created and presented a sincere and funny "Toast to the Cook", Andrew (The Black Knight) and George (PiperGeorge) for their "A Red Red Rose" and the spirit of cooperation and friendship this recital embodied, my incomparable F-H.C.A.G. for both "John Barleycorn" and a spirited "Selkirk Grace" (with a little help from the kids), Alan H. for rising to the occasion with an impromptu "To a Wee Mouse", and of course Jake (Monkey@arms) for his wonderful "Address to a Haggis" (Jake I couldn't be more delighted with turning it over to someone who took the ball and ran with it).

Behind the scenes in the kitchen and decorating Chris, Lisa, and Marjory, were invaluable.

My thanks to my mother-in-law Susan for taking care of the sign in table, Richard (way2fractious) for taking all the "Prom picture", and my Dad for getting the hall set up.

Kent (walkerk) for video proof that we made this night happen (and for not being at Death's door this year! We needed that chair for Robert Burns after all )

George (PiperGeorge) and Andrew (AndrewLenzJr) for their wonderful piping. Gents it would not have been the same without your wonderful playing

Todd (cajunscot) for being my Burns Night Supper Advisor

Madalyn, whom without this event could not have happened.

And most all, all the wonderful members of X Marks the Scot and our friends who joined together to make this a special night.

I can only think that Robert Burns would have been pleased with everyone pitching in to create something so joyous.

I doff my plumed hat to you all!

    Sincerely

    Jamie

I thought that our first Burns' Night Supper was a total blast and the second was incredible, but this one takes the cake!

Thank you so much for the videos, Kent, I am laughing just as much the second time around. Has anyone noticed that it almost seems as though we have a sitcom laugh track in the background?

Monday night is the Burns' Night Supper for our Scottish Country Dance class, and I'm hoping to get the chance to do "John Barleycorn" for the last time. I really need to get some new material for next year! Anybody want to do Barleycorn next year....?

So, let me know any suggestions for poetry next year (and no, I won't do "Tam O'Shanter", not even part of it. My Scottish accent sucks eggs).

    Be well,

I didn't take pictures that night; Sherrol did but I don't have copies yet. I want to thank Jamie and Madalyn for all their work, my family was happy to be able to attend and all of us had a great time.
