Yes, I used a regular pants belt for the dirk. The belt wasn't used to hold up this kilt and it wasn't visible. It worked really well, too!
And Glen, I agree. I think there'll be a jabot renaissance in Highland attire soon...

The banquet was wonderful. We had a guy (from Ayrshire!) recite Tam O'Shanter. He was really wonderful -- all by memory! Plus whisky, bagpipes, whisky, haggis, whisky, and dancing.
Oh, and do you remember that cute blond girl from my New Years story? Yeah, she came along with me.

Only when I'm piping. As a "civvie" I wear it on the left, in case it has to be drawn with my sgian during an impromptu invasion of Illinois!
