12 plus one box pleat in process, the material for a saffron double box pleat on hand, and jonesing the XMTS tartan. At least three more that I would like sometime.

44, but only 13 of them are serious 8-yard wool kilts.
The remainder are 5-yarders, or various acrylic knock-offs, modern style kilts or other MUGs.

4. Duncan Modern tank (maternal tartan), Stewart Hunting (wife's tartan), Blackwatch, and a Sportkilt in LEO tartan (would like this in a tank, however too expensive)...

I also am new to kilting. Got 1st one in April '08, 2nd for Christmas and #3 has been ordered from Rocky at USA KILTS. Have 4 or 5 more in mind, though!
