I am always fussing with mine, taking them apart and remaking them as I change shape - but of actual wearable kilts -

    Forest DPM
    Taupe pinstripe
    Grey black red white stripes
    Black '8 yards of darkness'
    Red stuart
    Blue/white plaid pattern
    Red yellow orange plaid pattern

Only seven? I will have to get busy, there must be the makings, or remakings of at least ten more, strewn about the place. Though I will probably find several more I have forgotten about if I look, or put in a rew stitches to complete them.

Four, with high hopes for many more. I'm sticking to the more budget friendly ones for now though... but I'm really pining for a USAK Casual Prince of Wales and a Norwegian Centennial tartan tank someday. Right now the kollection consists of (in order of acquirement)...

    - SWK Standard Black Stewart
    - USAK Casual Colquhoun
    - Solid Black denim contemporary kilt made by Alan H (A rarity and specialty, if I may say so, and one that, if a bit large, sees great amounts of use.)
    - SWK Standard Nightstalker

    4. Robertson Red 6 yd 18 oz (in progress)
    5. Hunting Robertson 5 yd 13 oz (needs resizing, or remaking into a box pleat), Locharron
    6. Hunting Robertson Ancient 5 yd 13 oz, Locharron
    7. Hunting Stewart 18 oz (homemade)
    8. Sackett 16 oz box pleat, Matt Newsome
    9. X Marks 13 oz box pleat, Matt Newsome
    10. Green tweed box pleat w/matching waistcoat, Matt Newsome
    11. American Heritage 13 oz (homemade)
    12. USAK American Heritage Semi-Trad
    13. Sackett 10 oz PV (homemade)
    14. cotton duck reverse kinguisse (homemade)
    15. cotton duck box pleat (homemade)
    16. 'Black & Gold' plaid canvas box pleat (homemade)
    17. RKilt Natural Hemp
    18. Maple Leaf (10 oz PV lined with 7 oz hemp/jersey) (homemade)
    19. MOD MacDonald military box pleat
    20. Pittsburgh Kilt, tan bull denim

    Numbers 3, 4, 7,and 19 are 'tanks.'

    That's all - for now.
I still have 3 tartans in wool and two in PV to work with.
After all, I made 9 of the 20 above.

I have eight hand sewn wool tartan (5 four yard box pleat, 3 tanks), and one hemp Rkilt. Then there are the dozen I made myself, trying to make decent work wear. Some all right, some just "kilt like objects".

There are a couple more things I might like to have.

Being new, I am assuming a "tank" is a 16 oz. wool kilt. Is that correct??

Thanks everyone!! I'm elated that I'm not alone in the wonderment of kilts!
