My herd is growing, but not as fast as the original poster's herd.. If a kilt is 1.15 sheep, I wonder how many "sheep" go into a wool argyle jacket/waistcoat. Or perhaps some knit hose.

I wonder what my sheep footprint is.

If you live in Albuquerque and haven't been to visit Kathy Lare yet, or ordered one of her kilts (see above), you haven't even bought the first horse yet.

    Relax, enjoy, keep on shopping.

Brooster, you are indeed buying horses. However, your ancestor also realized (despite or perhaps because of his insanity) that the horse is a noble animal and a fine investment.

I went through a phase a few years ago where I started buying old cameras on eBay (as in, pre-WWII Leica rangefinder knockoffs, for instance) and started to accumulate quite a collection. In the end, I turned around and re-sold virtually every one of them. Most of the fun was in the acquisition and then playing with each piece for a short time. I think i broke even money-wise when it was all said and done.

I dunno what the heck my point was with that story. Now I'm just rambling. Time to end this post.

The down side is that you can't make glue from an old kilt.

Kilts have the advantage of needing neither feed nor vets, nor yet shoeing.

    Wiiiilllllburrrrr!!!!...

    Sorry, just couldn't resist.

A friend of mine used to say, "If yer gonna be a bear, be a grizzly." I think if you're really into something i.e. kilts, there's nothing wrong with having plenty to choose from.

Of course, if you're going without dinner 3 nights a week to have 'em, you might want to "sell a few horses".

Not at all. You just have to have your kilts taken up at the waist from time to time.
