Not to "high Jack" this post I will post a new one with my thoughts

Thanx for the great review and all of the info so far. I'm a 46" and no way are there any MoD in my size so WPG is the only venue available. The Cameron is high on my list of next kilts for winter out here on the Western Slope! "The Beast" served me well today while out snow blowing the drive and walks.

I have to agree. I've been told in the past that a 38"+ MOD kilt is impossible to find. Let alone one in a 23" or 24" length! I could probably get down to get into a 38", but that and the length...no.
So, other than finding 22oz tartan, then having a kiltmaker sew one up for me, at 2 or 3 times the WPG cost, it isn't an option.

Again I would RECOMMEND contacting this Gentleman. As you can see he does offer a 38" + he will make larger. In my experience He has been GREAT to work with. ( NOTE I have yet to order one these from him (I am talking with him & as soon as $$$ are avail, I WILL) but I my MoD came from him + other items.

I wish Nanook would say what his source for actual MoD kilts is. the only MoD surplus kilts I have been able to find are waaaay tooooo small for anyone except someone who is deeply malnourished (5'9" with a 29" waist).
Sure there are people who will knock up an MoD spec kilt such as Bugpiper, but they are not MoD surplus kilts. And those kilts are also much dearer than a surplus kilt (£200-300+ v. £60). I'm not knocking Bugpiper as I have dealt with and recommend him. It's just that he is not milsurp in his pricing!
Given that, WPG's kilts are well worth the price if one is looking for an inexpensive off the peg kilt. My only complaint is that the Gordon's straps aren't the usual straps (twin holes). For that matter, the straps aren't that hot on my Gordon kilt, but I won't knock the kilt at the price I paid for it. Also, you are getting a much better kilt from WPG than the cheap poly-viscose stuff that is out there.
So, I have to agree that the WPG kilt is a pretty good deal.
