The color shown on sample on the web page are my high school colors of black and gold. The gold was yellow on the uniforms. Yes it does look like a cheerleader skirt but I would wear it anyway for some casual or fun activities. I guess that is why they call it a "team kilt".

Looks good to me, but personally, I prefer a tartan.

I think they will look just fine on some people. Large muscular people who do not look at all like cheerleaders. Of course I have a CelticWarriorKilt on order in dark navy with scarlet inserts, reminiscent of dress blues with the scarlet trouser stripe and rank stripe background.

My thoughts exactly!! The first thing that popped into my head upon looking at the link was, "OH, MY! Cheerleader skirt!"

I’ve read in graphic style literature that the rule for contrast is “Don’t be a wimp!” That is, if you intend contrast, than make it a strong contrast.
This is an exception I think. A darker contrasting color would look less like a cheerleader skirt. But then, why bother?
And base kilt color black only? I have one black kilt (an SWK Shadow) and find that I choose it for fewer occasions and venues that I thought when I bought it.
So I wouldn’t buy another, bells and whistles notwithstanding.

What if your fav. team has NO black in there colors??? Even if it does, like my beloved Saints, they only limit you to yellow, no gold. But those nasty Cowboy fans don't have an option. Same w/ those Astro fans. What about my Cubbies??? No red/blue option.
CWK you can get you're color option for the same price.

Not for me....I'm too traditional. I still enjoy handpleating my feilamor on the ground when the frost is thick on the grass. But, hey, on some fellows it will look cool. (After I pleat on the frost, I'm just COLD!!). Malcolm
