Oh... I want one of those!! I was going to order one from USA Kilts, but was forced to choose between it and the Albannach tartan. The Albannach tartan will never be manufactured again, though, so once Rocky is out of it, it's gone forever, so I had to go with that one. Now I'm jonesing for an IoS all the more!! It looks so good! And I love the belt buckle, too. It looks great with that kilt.

    Congratulations.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

I think that's a beautiful tartan--even looks better in person than in photos. But I have to agree with Glen it looks to me as if you are wearing it about two or three inches too low. I think the top of the kilt should be just touching the bottom of your ribcage.

My brother agreed after taking the pix that it was too low.

The hose (Lovat Green), belt, and buckle came from Rocky at USA Kilts. (Great guy to deal with).

The sporran came from the Scottish Tartans Museum. (Another good experience with fast service)

Excellent choice for your first kilt! It really looks grand. I have been eyeing an IOS for a few weeks now but wasn't sure if I liked the purple in it. But your photos convinced me....IOS will be my next purchase!
