    Etiquette

Several weeks ago a friend of mine asked if I had a book on etiquette. Well, I don't and it leads to the question of what's out there that's worth looking at, in print and online.
So I've decided to post the following questions -
    1. What book or books would you recommend.
    2. What sites online have good info?

What area(s) of etiquette are you concerned with? Dining, party, wedding, funeral, business, etc.. I've seen online guides for most any situation.

Miss Manners' Guide to Excruciatingly Correct Behavior, Freshly Updated

I lost this one in "the divorce" and miss it terribly.

Three books that I use two "modern" ones."Debrett's Etiquette & Modern Manners" and "Debrett's Correct Form" and one from the 1920's which does show how things have moved on a tad from then, still very good advice though. "The Book of Etiquette" by Lady Troubridge. An interesting lady!

Formal men´s wear with no mention of the kilt?

Both Rex and Mac-of-Rath have offered the two very best books that I know of. I personally like the Bridges book because it is aimed specifically at gentlemen.

The Bridges book, How To Be . . . is available from any Brooks Brothers store or online from http://www.brooksbrothers.com/IWCatP...duct_Id=844339. The Brooks Brothers version is from Rutledge Hill Press of Nashville, and for such a small book (150 pp), it is an excellent primer with lots of information.

Miss Manners is available anywhere. Hers is not specific to men, but it certainly does cover any and every situation you can think of . . . and a whole bunch you would never have thought of.

I think every young man should keep these two in his library.

No particular area of interest. I'm just wondering what's out there that's good.
Thanks for the replies thus far, I'll be checking them out.

Bridges has several books on etiquette "How to be a Gentleman" and " AGentleman at the Table" both are good, and there are more from him, also you can't go wrong with "Amy Vanderbilts complete book of etiquette"
