How frugal do you have to be when a handkerchief is too much to spend? I know in these economic times nothing is certain, but if you really want one they are not that hard to come by.

Wo wo wo fashionistas. Use the tip or don't. Heaven forbid someone not want to buy a "pocket square" and have to keep up with it in their sock drawer for the rare moment they want to wear it. Besides once you give your hanky away, your outfit will look horrendous without the pocket square. Then what will you do? Or do you also carry a back up hanky?

I want to know what you're doing to make these ladies cry.

I always carry a couple of plain, white hankies and a few tissues in addition to the pocket square. I would not use a pocket square as a handkerchief, so it does not leave the breast pocket.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Ted
I'm with you on this. I actually normally carry 3, two in the sporran and one that stays in the pocket.

Well I for one think that pulling out your pocket would look terrible. As for hankie's it is a rare man that comes prepared with hankie's for ladies. And those who do, score lots of points in my book.

A gentleman without a pocket square? Unthinkable.

Wow, such harsh words over a pocket square. But in reality, the single peaked hanky looks just like a turned out pocket, at least to my peasant eye.

Most often because of my eminent departure.
Though I imagine that anticipation of Grant's arrival might cause a similar response.
