"Every one a work of art!" A Valentine's day story.
Hey there, folks! I hope we all had as nice a Valentines Day weekend as my wife and I. The title of this thread comes from a seamstress I ran into. We were in the mountains in a little town called Idaho Springs. We stayed at the hot springs resort there. We were wandering around town doing some shopping, and wandered into this little gift shop. I was wearing my SWK saffron shadow tartan kilt. The woman behind the counter looked and said something teasing about a guy in a skirt. I thought she was just teasing me. And then she looked closer and said "Is that a kilt? I'm so sorry! I thought it was a leather skirt! So- let's see it then." (I was wearing my black leather trench coat.) I took my coat off and she did an inspection, explaining to me that she was a seamstress herself, and had once had a friend ask her to make him a kilt. She at that point had assumed that they were just skirts for men, so she told her friend that she would be happy to. She said she did it... and hated it the whole time and will never make another! She said that as far as she's concerned, every man should own at least one and that every one is a work of art.
And then there was my SWK thrifty at the resort pool... I wrapped it around myself after I got out of the pool. A lady coming in asked me what I was wearing under it... right as my swim suit fell to my ankles.
I picked it up off the floor and said "Well, 3 seconds ago, it was this." I winked at her and walked away, noticing that her face was bright red and her mouth was hanging open.
OK- so anyone else have any fun V day stories?
