Well your wife has excellent tastes then... 
That is the Galbraith Ancient tartan, but the same tartan is used by the Hunter and Mitchel families, also it was (in the same ancient colors) used by the Billy Mitchel pipe band for the Air Force. This particular kilt was made by Matt Newsome and is one of his 5 yard knife pleat models.
