I dont want to be offensive seeing as Im new on the forumn, but why you have a Union Jack on a forumn concerned with Scotland and Scottish culture?
Do you realise how offensive this flag is to the Scots, who faced genocide and mass eviction from the people carrying this flag.

Thanks Jock. Ta for stepping in. Cant seem to find or access the original post that you quoted but I fully agree with your comment regarding it. Your greater experience and obvious diplomacy shows though too. I'd have probably gone off like a ten bob rocket!!

Look at it this way - for the price of ten kilt hirings, one can afford to buy an entire kilt outfit new. It made economic sense to me in the '80's when I got my first kilt, it makes sense now also

Well, I dunno anything about THAT but I DO know that in Japanese, head lice are called atamajirami 頭虱. (atama means 'head' by the way)

The common louse is just a jirami 虱.
