Good idea, as I am a regular at the Salvation Army store near me. There is one a few towns away that I frequent as well. Around here, the men's section in Salvation Army is larger than the whole Goodwill store so I usually stick with the Army. I'd say 90% of my clothes are thrift store. Just can't spend full price anymore. Anyone within vicinity of the Whitehall or Quakertown PA stores that would like to tutor in how to work that sewing machine contraption, I'd be up for a trip.
And a tip... if you want to put together a day to do this, I'd suggest looking into when their family day is. Around here, it's Wednesday. Everything is 50% off. I got myself a nice Guinness t-shirt for $.50 the other day, cable knit sweater for $2.00. NEVER seen any kilts though....
