And the price differential between an Amerikilt and a Freedom Kilt might be worth checking with Amerikilt first.

Then again, Amerikilt is in USD, and Freedom Kilts is Canadian. I can't do the math in my head, but if you run them through a currency converter, they might a bit closer in price.

But, make the call! See what the people at Amerikilt say first!

This morning the exchange rate was 1 to .76 so I think you will find that my Kilts are very reasonable for a completely custom made Kilt.

I've been watching that rate; it has dropped way down over the last six months. I do still worry about the import charges on out-of-US items like my tartan, though.

    Nighthawk,

Let me know what it is you are looking for. That is the great thing about making each Kilt one at a time and individually. Each customer comes with their own ideas and I get to help make them come true.

    Almost anything is possible.

As a side note. The Industrial Model is no more. We are replacing it with a Box-Pleated Model.

Can you say Tartan Box Pleats with Pockets?
At today's Exchange Rate in US Dollars

$262.25 in any of our 35 stock fabrics w/ 2 Side Slash Pockets.
    $335.42 In 12oz P/V w/ 2 Side Slash Pockets.
    $413.36 in 13oz Wool w/ 2 Side Slash Pockets.
    $533.42 in 16oz Wool w/ 2 Side Slash Pockets.

If my kilts are shipped within N. America there is seldom a Duty fee. It has only happened once. I refunded the duty cost to the customer.

Thank you very much! I will keep that in mine. Come June or July, I'll be back in the market. I need to pay off the loan I had to take out to get that wool Albannach tartan kilt from Rocky, though. I'm a fanatical Albannach fan, and the opportunity of having a kilt literally cut from the same cloth as theirs was too good to pass up.
