Hey, Gil. That's not a bid idea, but we always have a small town parade here in Conyers that I never miss. We'll have lots of corny stuff--kids, dogs, police car, firetruck, anyone who shows up, etc.
It's only 2 half blocks long, then we all hit the local pubs to drink, lie, and plan a cattle reivin' expedition. There's usually a band in the street starting about 6:00 or 7:00, and it's just a low key affair with plenty of Guiness, whisky, and anything else.
And you won't get mugged.
