    More WPG items

Just recieved another package from What Price Glory. My X-Military kilt kit is coming together nicely. An OD wool sweater and pair of OD wool knee-high socks. Very fast shipping. I am pleased with the sweater but less so with the socks. Medium is the smallest they have and even that size is WAY to big for my size 9 feet; even over a pair of ankle socks as was suggested by a Gent here a few days ago. I'm going to try to shrink them a little to fit better. Will let you know how that works out.

I tried with mine - it doesn't work. Plus I've gone thru the toes in all three pair - twice.

I agree w/ turpin, shrinking doesn't work. The only thing it seemed to accomplish was to shring the tops...not what I needed.

WPG makes great "repo" stuff, but maybe not the best quality.

    Good luck,

Me too. I've ended up with gamekeeping socks from Webury.

yep - the wife tried today with the washing - nothing happened. Think I'll just wear them over a pair of ankle socks with the toe bent back.

You can also do what I did; cut them off and re-stitch them. I put them on, putting the heel in the right spot then cut the excess off the toes, careful not to cut the tootsies! Then, turn them inside out and sew them closed, in a nice curve, matching the toes. Trim as much excess material as you can to help prevent spots that rub.

It's not the best, but it beats the fold-over method that was uncomfortable for me.
