I have not decided how much attention I want around town here. I am a lawyer and it is possible that I might put off potential customers. I will approach it conservatively. I ran into another lawyer hiking in the fall. I think his attention was so drawn to the kilt that he barely recognized me. I will wear it outside of my local realm with abandon. Comments? People are people. There are all kinds. I respond, (or don't), depending on the context. I do not go to places where really ignorant people might be drunk. I will go to a local bar on StPat's kilted. That will be interesting. I was on a cable channel auction recently for the Rotary Club. I have had nothing but positive response to that.

Believe me, the people at our WV festivals have been great, but it was scary to think most of these guys own guns!!!
I think you'd be surprised at how many of them may have actually been carrying them, too. At the gun shows I attend, they make you put a zip-tie through the action of any gun you bring in, but all it takes is a quick cut from a knife or scissors to remove it. If anyone wanted to do you harm, they could; however, gun shows are some of the safest places in America.
That said, I did get a lot of stares when I went, kilted, into a gun shop in Richmond to pick up a few boxes of ammunition.
