    I watched the first couple of seasons/series on PBS 7 or 8 years ago, then Netflixed the whole shabang over the last month or so. The first 4 series were good; after that it started to ramble.
    Katrina was the best part of the show.

    Just for the record, Hector usually wore trews to dinner, which Lexie had invariably burned and Golly had 'piped in. (Confusing sentence, ain't it?)

    yah-dinner was burned, not the trews (and that's the trewsth!)

    I liked the series very much through season 4, but then it seemed to become formulaic and predictable.

    I loved Monarch. but they never aired the 7th season in the US. so for X mas my wife bought me the entire series! we started over from the beginning and are at the end of season 5. every time i watch it, it makes me wish i was in the Highlands
