a definition on jackets

(and Prince Charles in particular) seldom wear kilt jackets that have the gauntlet or scalloped cuffs, choosing instead to wear a very plain style tweed or barathea jacket with no eppulattes and ordinary cuffs and pocket-flaps.

My tweed jacket is in a similar plain style, mainly because it was made about 50 years ago. That was probably the "bespoke" style at the time and is still what the Saville Row tailors produce for Prince Charles.

A regular 3 button jacket cuff. Nothing fancy.
No epauletes.
2 outside lower Pockets with regular jacket cuff.
1 outside chest pocket.
1 inside pocket.

I guess I should have tightened up the knot on the tie a bit and a look in a mirror would have shown me my hair sticking up in all directions.
