The Jacket is actually my "Capt. of a Canadian Rifle Militia ( war of 1812 )"
It was made for me several years ago, along with the "period" kilt, by North Channel Kilts in Seattle WA. This jacket "started out" as a "goodwill" Woman's suit coat ( $10.00 ) & Patrick Roper did his "magic". If I remember right the total $$ was under $100.00

Here is a pic of the sleeve detail (note the "stiching is also on the collar & epaulets.

BTW, I had a "BLAST. There were only 2 of us that were Kilted. ith:

Wow, after reading that story, your friend really did do some magic! It's wonderful. Thanks for the photo of the detail!
I am glad you had a blast!

    Puffer,
Well done! Great looking outfit. Now, (putting on my "authenticity nazi" hat!) break down and get some period eye-glass frames...!

You look great Puffer-I'm a big fan of more "tradition" ie: earlier period jackets(much more so than P.C's and their ilk).

You are correct. The problem I have is that I have is @ 67, i need "trifocals" & as yet I have not found PC glasses that can do it all.. My Optometrist ( who is a shooter) has made me a pair for shooting ( so I I can see both my rear sight , front sight, & the target, but alas, I can not use them for "reading" OLD AGE,

If you have some ideas please let me know.
