Some humor from Friday Nite
Friday nite I went to listen to this smoking hot blues band, Giant Blue. The music was great, the beer was cold, the owner made it a point to come over and tell how much he liked my kilt and was quite pleased I wore it. He said I "spruced up" the joint.
Anyway, in between sets I was talking to a black gentleman sitting next to me. He arrived after I had already sat down so he didn't notivce my kilt. We talked mainly about our musical tastes and which bands we liked. About that time another customer came up from behind, tapped me on the shoulder and asked what clan I belong to. The black gentelman practically keeled over and said "You don't use the Klan word around a brother. Oh, you're wearing a kilt, never mind!" We all had quite a chuckle over that.

Be thankful the gent paused for explanation instead of going straight to swingin' fists. ![Smile](http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/images/smilies/icon_smile.gif)

That's the most novel kilted experience I've heard of in a long time! Very cool!

You might have a new friend there.
I accompanied my wife to a conference on Friday and went kilted. Of the couple of hundred people who saw me, two people commented. One man was from Inverness and we chatted for a while. The other was the host at the restaurant where we went for lunch. Oh, well...

Well there are Clans and then there are Klans. Glad he knew the difference.
