    Sara,
    You did a really fine job on all this project.

    Are you going to stain the box, perhaps a dark walnut color, or leave it natural? I once painted one of those little boxes gold to use as a cyborium, or container for consecrated host, for a church's communion supplies.

    That little quaich would make a really special wedding present. The couple could drink a toast to themselves from it, instead of twining their arms and sipping champagne. That can be kind of tricky.

    Thank you all for the very nice compliments. It was a fun project.

    I am going to save the little Quaich for some special occasion (for when I buy a house to use it to greet guest with a dram during a house warming party etc). I may just use your wedding suggestion if I ever get married!

    I think for now I am going to leave the box natural, my apartment has a ton of back and dark wood furniture. Leaving it natural helps the box and Quaich stand out.
