9 out of ten---random guess at how many homebrewed US six packs per year.

Brewed several batches a few years ago and got to be a bit of a beer snob right before the microbrewery explosion a few years back-----quality not quantity set in at a certain age. Then I switched to single malt scotch and now beer is the best substitute for when I can't get a nice single malt (not too many golf course refreshment carts carrying Glenfiddich these days, and it is hard to come by a nice Tobermorey at the college basketball or football venues). Fewer trips to the head per night and less hangover the next morning with Scotch.
