    Well done, Malcolm! Like the different tartans, together, which I understand is very period of the times re-enact. Hmm, I wonder if I could get away wearing my new multi tartan waistcoat with a tartan kilt. After all, MacMillan of Rathdoen does with his bow ties.

    Mael....I think you should! A dark kilt like this box pleat one would look good with the waistcoat. In fact, when I saw the photo of that waistcoat, I told my wife that is our next project. We have enough pieces of tartan around, we can put squares together and then cut out and sew the waistcoat! AND, I like all the reds in it. Sweet!

    I like the dark tartan... suits the waistcoat nicely. but it's definitely not Davidson. regards to your wife for the clever accent on the leather waistcoat.
